Not a quote but a question! If we submitted a quote, but are unsure if you guys have read it and a substantial amount of time has passed, would you mind if we resent it? I don’t want to seem annoying so I’ve been holding back from resubmitting it but I just feel like it’s a really good quote. If you don’t want me to resend it, it’s cool. I just didn’t want to be annoying.

Hi friend,

Thanks for asking! It would be better to ask about your specific quote, off anon, than to resubmit. We do have 200+ submissions and 200+ items in the queue at the moment, so it’s probably still around but taking a while to appear.

“It’s not just sentimental, no, no, no
She has her grief and care, yeah yeah yeah
But the soft words, they are spoke so gentle, yeah
It makes it easier, easier to bear, yeah
You won’t regret it, no, no
Some girls, they don’t forget it
Love is their only happiness, yeah
But it’s all so easy
All you gotta do is try, try a little tenderness"

–Otis Redding (Try A Little Tenderness)

Hey guys!

So, I’m going to spend this whole December holiday working on quotes so that I can get through my next term without having to worry that we’re going to run out while I’m doing a lot of homework. In order to do that, I’m going to need more quotes!

Would you be so kind as to submit many many Gryffindor and Slytherin quotes, please? In the link above you’ll find the rules and submission guidelines.

xoxo C

HUFFLEPUFF: “You will fall in love with your friends. Deep, passionate love. You will create a second family with them, a kind of tribe that makes you feel less vulnerable. Sometimes our families can’t love us all the time. Sometimes we’re born into families who don’t know how to love us properly. They do as much as they can but the rest is up to our friends. They can love you all the time, without judgement. At least the good ones can.” –Ryan O’Connell (The People You Will Fall In Love With In Your 20s)

GRYFFINDOR: “A dead thing can go with the stream, but only a living thing can go against it. A dead dog can be lifted on the leaping water with all the swiftness of a leaping hound; but only a live dog can swim backwards. A paper boat can ride the rising deluge with all the airy arrogance of a fairy ship; but if the fairy ship sails upstream it is really rowed by the fairies.” -GK Chesterton (The Everlasting Man)
